During my internship at RIBOCA2, I worked as Venue Assistant under the Production Team to take care of the artworks and the venue, and was made personal assistant of artist Miķelis Fišers. I also worked with the HR team and delivered a private guided tour for the Danish Ambassador.
RIBOCA2 "viss reizē zied" / "and suddenly it all blossoms" was curated by Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, Chief Curator and Sofia Lemos, Associate Curator.
The Biennial attempted to counteract the apocalyptic perceptions of our contemporary with a form of re-enchantment to the real: the experience was conceived as an Odyssey across proposals and life-views that would rekindle our desire to act positively and critically. In the dystopian ex-industrial site of Andrejsala port, the exhibition tried to escape conventional art displays, encouraging physical freedom and interaction, and welcoming animals, plants, scooters and material deterioration.
